Are there any hidden fees?
There are no hidden fees. CNA Academy of CT has taken the worries out of registration. Once you are enrolled, you will be provided with a textbook, scrubs, stethoscope, and a nursing watch.
How long is the CNA course?
A full-time, four-week course is offered Monday through Friday.
A part-time, evening course is offered Monday through Thursday, with clinical training on Saturdays.
Will I complete hands-on care before the end of the course?
Hands-on care will be taught while attending full-time and part-time courses.
How many hours of hands-on clinical training will I complete?
CNA Academy of CT prides itself on excellence in care by adding an additional 40 hours of classroom/clinical training to the standard 100 hours.
Where will I receive my clinical experience?
CNA Academy of CT has partnered with The Watermark at East Hill in Southbury to host its clinical rotations. Since their community offers various levels of client care, a well-rounded style of training will be achieved. (Transportation will be provided.)
What type of certifications can I receive from the course?
CNA Academy of CT offers Certified Nursing Assistance, CPR Certification, and an Alzheimer’s/Dementia Certification. A Home Health Aide Program is also offered on a part-time basis.
Will a CNAR (CNA Refresher) Course be offered?
You will be able to utilize CNA Academy of CT for any of your refresher courses at a reasonable price.
Will I receive job placement assistance?
Placement opportunities are provided in all relevant venues. Job fairs and guest speakers from the industry will provide assistance to graduates seeking employment in their health care field preference.
Do you offer any additional services on résumé building and interviewing skills?
CNA Academy of CT offers assistance with résumé building, proper dress code, and interviewing etiquette. We help cultivate the skills necessary to embark on your chosen career path.
